Hydrophobia: Bioshock 2 or Bioshock 0?
Blade Interactive has some cool stuff going on. They call it Hydrophobia - a game that takes place on monster huge ship, which is actually more like a city or a state, that never enters territorial waters. According to the backstory, this ship is a place for the filthy rich and those who choose to conduct business not suitable for “prying eyes”. Aboard the Queen of the World, as the ship is called, no one asks any questions. In other words; a perfect environment for companies like “NanoCell” to play around with nano engineering.
“The ship is in truth the reclusive preserve of the super rich. Here the most modest condo starts at $250m and the most expensive in the billions. It is a mini state. A state with no taxes (the ship never ventures into territorial waters) and no legislative controls. As such it has attracted businesses that want to keep their activities away from prying eyes.”
Ring any bells? Read the full story here.
However, if you think Bioshock had an advanced water engine - Blade has some news for you! They are making THE advanced water engine. Check it here.
What makes Blade really cool though, is the fact that their going to self-publish this baby. Which is a bold move on their behalf, and extremely inspiring for a guy like me.
